    We believe the Macintosh is a tool that amplifies people's creative talents. Although software is at the core of the tool and draws everyone's attention, software developers remain largely estranged from end-users. Developers must create software based on direct communication with users. Ottimo offers software that fits every field and responds to every user's needs.     • In 1986, I developed my first Macintosh application, which was called QuickScan. A DA for installing the black and white images scanned with a QV-10 (Omron) handy scanner via serial interface, QuickScan was able to move the images installed to other applications via cut and paste and was also able to save the images in files in a MacPaint or PICT format. QuickScan was a very small application, just about 20 Kbs. I released it on the BBS as a shareware, which was called a public domain at the time. This was my first step into the magnificent world of Mac programming.



    The following are products I developed when I worked for Kohshin Graphic Systems, Inc. Some of these products are available at the Kohshin Store. Many other applications are not presented here, owing to a lack of icons.

    CutieMascot++
    		The latest version of CutieMascot, CutieMascot++ is used to create animation that can move on the desktop. The animation can be converted to WiredMovie.
    CutieMascot Jr. A limited edition of CutieMascot++. An English version is also available. CutieMascot Jr. won the Apple Design Award in 1999.
    CutieMascot The first generation of the CutieMascot series, CutieMascot was developed in 1993 and gave way to CutieMasco++ and CutieMascot Jr. in 1998.
    MascotWorld/MascotTools Expanded the features of CutieMascot. All functions were subsequently included in CutieMascot++.
    MascotPlayer/MascotPlayer Plug-in Developed for indicating "mascots" (animation created using CutieMascot) on the Web. Windows version not available.
    GRANDMUSEE 3.0 The first version of this image database with a hierarchical structure was developed in 1992 and the most recent version is still in use.
    CutiePocket A limited edition of Grand Musee 3.0, CutiePocket is best suited to arranging images from digital cameras.
    TOTOMAC A utility for playing games of chance, TOTOMAC can also be used to play bingo.
    CutieAlbum An application for creating digital photo albums, the first version was developed in 1993. CutieAlbum also allows one to make run-time versions.
    QTJoy/Vbox XCMD A utility that maximizes the capabilities of QuickTime. Version 2.0 allows one to edit video tape.
    MOMENTO An application for editing linear video that is compatible with SONY Vbox.
    MOMENTO Pro. A special version of MOMENTO for SONY UVW-1200/1400 and other RS422-compatible professional video decks.
    VideoMagician A product ahead of its time, VideoMagician made it possible to edit digital images before the advent of QuickTime technology.
    ColorMagician The world's first color scanning application for Macintosh, ColorMagician was created in 1987. Compatible with EPSON GT series, this application still runs today!
    ColorDiffusion A utility for reducing full colors to 256 colors, ColorDiffusion was very useful when most Macintoshes had only 256 colors.
    Professional FP A printout application for CANON FP-510 printers introduced in 1988. A groundbreaking development, Professional FP made it possible to print images in full color.
    QT PhotoCutter An application capable of enlarging, reducing and trimming many full color images at once.
    QT Manual A utility for making digital manuals.
    QT Cinema An application for creating interactive videos using QuickTime Movie.
    QT Shutter An application for frame-by-frame video capturing using a video camera connected to a Macintosh, QT Shutter allows one to create movies.
    NameCard An application for making run-time digital cards with a movie that was distributed as a sample application by Apple.
    3DMF Library A librarian for QuickDraw 3D's 3DMF files, 3DMF Library is attached to WonderCube (Kohshin Graphic Systems, Inc.)
    View Paint A sample application of my book 100 Standard Moves, published by ASCII. Many people have referred to this source code.
    DC-4/DU-5/DU-7 Developed at the request of Ricoh, this application allows Ricoh photo images to appear on Macintoshes.
    VC-C1/VC-C3 Developed at the request of CANON, this controlling application for cameras allows one to use a remote control via serial interface.
    MacBAS/Image Gauge An analysis application for scanning images developed at the request of Fuji Photo Film.
    EPSON Photo! Print2 A printout utility developed at the request of EPSON. Seven localized versions are available.
    PICTROBRAIN A printout utility for PICTROGRAPHY developed at the request of Process Shizai.
    SpMat/Sp-Palette A supporting application for creating DVDs developed at the request of Pioneer.
    Professional FV An application for scanning images for CANON's Q-PIP developed at the request of Canon.
    Professional Jet A printout utility for Pixel Jet, a first- generation inkjet printer, developed at the request of Canon.
